Waiting on the Lord
When you’ve got an issue in your life, it can be exceedingly difficult to be still and wait for God to handle the situation for you. You might feel obligated to take matters into your own hands, but in the end, that may lead to an even longer period of waiting. We as Christians need to work harder on learning to stay patient and trust God.
Psalm 27:14 (KJV) says: Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
So, instead of trying to solve our own issues without God’s help, what can we do instead?
- Pray.
- “Speak God’s Word and let your conversation agree with your prayer.” – Joyce Meyer
- If the situation involves an offender, do NOT seek revenge.
- Stay patient with God, and be kind to those around you. Joyce once shared that the best way to make yourself feel better is to make someone else feel better first.
- Express gratitude to the Lord, and remain positive and optimistic.
- Remember to TRUST GOD.
Nothing can last forever. You will get through whatever period you feel stuck in. Remain faithful to God and stay patient.
